So many people ask me -" Why Are You Doing This ?" -
In the first place I can't stand injustice in any form, especially injustice towards the children.
Children make good targets because they are so innocent and have no power to fight back.

Too many people misunderstand the purpose of child protective services. Far from being a kind and benevolent agency, it has become a heartless, family-destroying behemoth relying on federal funding streams given when children are taken from their families, when parental rights are terminated, and when adoptions take place.

"Sadistic and criminal aren't words usually associated with social workers. But they come to mind while reading the results of a yearlong investigation into a child-protection bureaucracy that was allowed to go rogue. Social workers gave each other nicknames like "The Queen of Removal" and "Terminator" and laughed as they stripped children from their parents! -"

Even under the state's protection, many children are dying ! Why ?
Some caseworkers are too busy, too careless or too clueless to do their jobs.

Responsibility for this belongs to all of us, from the county social workers  the a court and social service bureaucracy that drags out decisions in a child's life, to the county commissioners and taxpayers who have failed for years to provide enough funding for these services.

This is a matter of conscience. I can not, and will not close my eyes in the face of this tragedy, fully knowing what is happening to children and families everywhere and knowing it will continue to happen. I want to give our forgotten children in State care something they need - a voice. I have been and I will continue to be their voice. As all people say, the children are our future. Well, it's about TIME, we started nurturing that future, protecting and cherishing each and every precious child that is upon this earth. We should give voice to the voiceless and share our power with the powerless.

Don't be silent - Speak out against child abuse

Children abuse is a silent but deadly issue and is a growing epidemic not only in our community, but all over the world.
Newspaper article after newspaper article have described extreme cases of children abuse or mistreatment. These stories touch the heart of some people, but after the news dies down, it's as if it never happened.
I know I'm not the only one who cares this deeply about this problem. We all have a voice, we can be heard, and it's about time we speak up.

Something about myself
Born in Zagreb, Croatia. An artist and a designer.

In 1984 I brought home an 16 months old orphan boy. He lived with me for 7 years and in that time I had no contact with Department of Child Services. They never came to check on the boy and his welfare. After all those years, his biological mother wanted him back. Child Services ruled that the child is to be returned to his biological mother within five days. Without preparation of any sort, they send him away from me and into an unknown environment. This woman left her children in two different orphanages.

It has been 16 years since that happened. My heart breaks even now when I remember what happened; how I was helpless to protect him. There was no legal means I could have pursued and I had no lawful rights since I was not biologically related to the boy. Child Services Zagreb-Centar and social worker Danica Sostaric circumvented the letter of the law and get involved with forged documents and lies. All of that was done under the excuse that it was "in the best interest of the child". I often wonder what has become of his life. I like to think he's happy but experience causes me to doubt.
Back then I thought I was the only one that was going through it and something like this can only happen in Croatia.

In 1991, I came to the United States and started rebuilding my life. Trying to help out a coworker, I encountered Child Services again. That's when my nightmare with them started. In order to fully help her, I started researching the system and I couldn't believe the information uncovered; corruption, lies, all of it under the disguise of law; social workers abusing their power. Children die in their hands and they never face legal consequences.
They feel like they are above the law. They think their mistakes are excusable considering the nobility of their profession. All this is happening right in front of us, in the US but also around the world. Last year over 3 million American families were falsely accused!!! Government has created a social welfare industry that it cannot control, a monster that will swallow up the government that created it. The "best interests of children and families" are irrelevant to it. It is about jobs, careers and most importantly, money. Child Welfare Program is a conspiracy at the highest level of government. It is a conspiracy that takes direct aim at the poor, single, uneducated parent who is so vulnerable. It targets the immigrants, the minorities and the disabled. It has nothing to do with the "best interests of the child". It is a policy that leaves children in drug houses and various violent and dangerous situations because the "workers" are too afraid to enter them!!!
Very few children in America are genuine orphans. Most have relatives, family friends, neighbors or godparents who could, and are willing to, keep them if they must be moved temporarily or permanently from parental homes. As we know, there is such a halo around "adoption" and states have received financial incentives for finding "forever homes" for the children who are made Paper Orphans by a stroke of a judge's pen. The child is labeled as abused and/or neglected, therefore is "at risk", which usually means more money for the people who adopt the child, most commonly the ones in the pre-adoptive home where most babies are placed immediately. Those people have a say and can influence the process along the way, so they are very vocal in minimizing any chance the baby has for returning home. If the baby stays in a "foster" home for 15 of 22 months, then the termination can be effectively automatic by federal law and state incorporation of its provisions and sometimes that's the excuse.

Child protective services in America and all around the world are a disaster: financially, legally, emotionally, physically and in any other way. The biggest tragedy of it all is that WE choose not to see it, pretending it doesn't exist. Is this repeating the past? Like the Holocaust. Then, too, people were closing their eyes at the tragedy in front of them. If they hadn't, if they reacted, there would have been much less victims.
